Job Opportunity

BDO Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Operations Associate to join our Finance and Operations team in Halifax.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations for various clients across industries.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Post transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure financial records are complete and compliant.
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and work with senior accountants to find solutions.
  • Leverage accounting software and tools to automate tasks and streamline processes.
  • Participate in client-specific projects aimed at improving internal accounting processes and implementing new systems.
  • Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues.
Requirements
  • Completed undergraduate degree or diploma in accounting and necessary prerequisites.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
