SiteTalent is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Design Expert to join their team of professionals specializing in custom control panel building for wastewater treatment and other sectors. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, tailored solutions under the guidance of experienced I&C Supervisors and senior designers.

About the Role:

  • Work closely with I&C Supervisors and senior level designers to develop electrical systems designs that meet client requirements.
  • Review project materials, including proposals, specifications, and emails, to ensure a thorough understanding of project objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to discuss design approaches and philosophies, ensuring alignment with client needs.
  • Attend product meetings with suppliers to source high-quality electrical components.
  • Stay up-to-date with electrical code and product application details to ensure compliance and optimal system performance.
  • Create detailed drawings, technical manuals, and specifications as required.
  • Develop P&IDs, electrical schematics, panel layouts, and instrument location drawings to support electrical system design.
  • Create single line diagrams, loop drawings, communication drawings, and control room layouts as needed.
  • Develop instrumentation lists, IO lists, cable lists, and IP address lists to ensure accurate system documentation.
  • Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support project manufacturing.
  • Release project packages to production for manufacturing.
  • Learn and apply ISO standards relevant to the role.
  • Maintain a daily log of job-related activities using approved time sheet formats.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Possession of a post-secondary diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related electrical discipline.
  • Familiarity with NEC, UL508A, CEC, and CSA 22.2 codes and standards.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical and EPlan Electric P8 software.
