Staff on Call Travel Nursing Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and caring LPN with a passion for providing exceptional care to the elderly in a temporary role at our beautiful long-term care/assisted living facility in Duncan, BC.

Job Details:
  • Contract: 3-4 months (depending on your availability) with possibility of extension
  • Location: Duncan, BC
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Compensation: $45.00 per hour + weekly allowance, travel allowance, accommodation

About the Role:

As a Travel Licensed Practical Nurse with Staff on Call, you will be responsible for performing assessments, planning, implementing, and providing personal and nursing care to residents. You will also administer oral and subcutaneous medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures. Direct supervision of care staff is required to meet resident needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing assessments and developing individualized care plans
  • Providing direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments
  • Supervising and coordinating the work of care staff
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge and background in Dementia care (preferred)
