Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the treatment of cancer patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiation therapy equipment to deliver precise and accurate treatments to patients.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their treatment needs and develop individualized plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a radiation therapy department, preferably in a cancer treatment setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
