We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Care Aide to join our team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC.
As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide patient care and support to individuals in need.
About the RoleWorking under the direction of RNs, RPNs, and LPNs, you will follow established care plans and routines to deliver high-quality patient care.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living
- Assisting with patient mobility, transfers, and related equipment
- Performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Documenting patient information and responding to call bells/alarm
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment through housekeeping activities
- Observing and reporting changes in patient progress, symptoms, and condition
- Assisting with the provision of activation and socialization services for mental health patients
- Performing clerical duties and other related tasks
The Cariboo Memorial Hospital & Health Centre is a Level 2 Community Hospital in Williams Lake.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will require:
- Graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant/Health Care Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker registry
