Job Summary
We are seeking a Health Care Aide to join our team at Bethany Sylvan Lake. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with activities of daily living, documenting care and related observations, and contributing to a safe environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide resident-centered care, promoting service excellence and responding to residents' needs in accordance with care plans and policies.
- Accurately and comprehensively document and report care and related observations to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Contribute to a safe environment for residents, the team, and self by understanding and adhering to safety guidelines and practices.
- Participate in evaluating and changing the documented care needs of residents as part of the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate.
- Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment.
- Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read, and write effectively in English.
- Excellent observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
