At Oakville Mitsubishi, we are seeking a skilled Automotive Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing work orders, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications. You will also estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, perform scheduled maintenance service, and advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements. Additionally, you will complete reports to record problems and work performed, and coach and instruct apprentices. Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Review work orders and estimate parts and labour cost
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service and advise customers on work performed
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
Requirements:
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent position with 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
