Elementary Occasional Teaching Position for Year 2 Education Students

The Waterloo Region District School Board is seeking applications from current Year 2 Faculty of Education students for our Elementary Occasional Teacher Roster (JK-8). This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain teaching experience and build their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach elementary students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and special programs
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver instruction
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Current Year 2 Faculty of Education student scheduled to graduate in Spring/Summer 2025
- Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate qualifications as recognized by the Ontario College of Teachers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
