Kindergarten Education Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kindergarten Education Assistant to join our team at École St. Mary School in Lethbridge. This is a continuous 14.0 hour per week position that will commence as soon as possible and end June 12, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Kindergarten teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs
  • Collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologist to provide sound production support
  • Model appropriate behaviors and provide cues for students
  • Assist with daily living skills and toileting as needed
  • Work effectively within a trans-disciplinary team to meet the needs of students
Requirements:
  • Hanen Learning Language and Loving It Certification
  • At least one year of experience working in a Childhood Program and/or with children with special needs
  • Experience working proactively with positive intervention with child's behaviors
  • Ability to take direction from the professional team
  • Physical ability to engage and participate in the active ECS environment
