We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority in the Annapolis Valley. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Primary Care: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
- Manage Workload and Practice: Be accountable for managing your workload and practice to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers within your practice and the community to ensure a continuum of patient care.
- Provide Community-Based Care: Provide care and coordination of community-based care, secondary, and tertiary level health care services.
- Build Capacity: Build to capacity within the first two years of practice.
- Operate within Bylaws and Regulations: Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Ensure Same-Day or Next-Day Access: Work towards same-day or next-day access for the practice population.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with other team members in the practice to best suit the community's health needs.
- Provide After-Hours Access and Emergency Coverage: Work with other providers to provide after-hours access and emergency coverage when required.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record: Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members.
- Eligibility for Licensure: Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for Certification: Be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership with Canadian Medical Protective Association: Be a member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
