Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at ATLAS Aéronautique inc. in the aviation/aerospace manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings, setting up and adjusting production machineries/tools, and fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools
  • Fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools

Requirements:

  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the aviation/aerospace manufacturing sector
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Machinist Trade Certification
  • Experience with automatic lathes, boring machines, drill presses, gear cutting machines, milling machines, screw machines, surface grinders, tapping machines, and tool grinders

Work Environment:

  • Aviation/aerospace manufacturing

Language: English or French

Work Hours: 40 hours per week
