About the Job

Atlas Aéronautique inc. seeks a highly skilled Machinist to join our team in the aviation/aerospace manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical trades and have experience working with precision tools and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings, setting up and operating machine tools, and ensuring high-quality production.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to precision cut and shape materials.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate in machinist trade.
  • 1 year of experience as a Machinist in aviation/aerospace manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of precision tools and equipment, including automatic lathes, boring machines, and milling machines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment.
