About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at La Baracca. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to inform menu planning and kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for cooking staff.
  • Supervise and mentor specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Create new recipes and menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Train and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, banquets, and special functions.
  • Supervise and lead cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, including dietary requirements and food allergies.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine and menu planning.
