Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Production Utility Worker to join our team at Heidelberg Materials in Victoria. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating fixed Jaw and Cone crushing equipment, performing manual clean up, identifying maintenance issues, and assisting with equipment repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate crushing equipment and perform manual clean up tasks
- Identify and report maintenance issues to ensure equipment is running efficiently
- Assist with equipment repairs and maintenance
- Maintain organization of plant work areas and material identification
- Communicate with customers and comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Requirements:
- Comfortable working in year-round weather conditions
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 75 lb, lift objects overhead, and perform daily tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license
- Capable of learning through job training and working independently
- Previous industrial experience and heavy equipment operation is an asset
What We Offer:
- $30.50/h + benefits, holidays, and pension contributions
- Starting with 2 weeks paid vacation + statutory holidays
- Secure, full-time (40h/week), long-term employment with overtime available
- Shifts are scheduled for 8.5h with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and a paid morning and afternoon coffee break
- Comprehensive medical, dental & vision care benefit package covering employees and their eligible dependents
- Operating Engineers Pension Plan contributions
- Annual safety boot and rain gear allowance of $125 per year
- Union membership with IUOE115 contract in place until July 1, 2025
- Opportunities for external training and exposure working with existing employees
