Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting job notices and advertisements, collecting and screening applicants, and advising job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Sourcing: Identify current and prospective staffing requirements through market research, business needs analysis, and employee referrals.
  • Job Posting: Prepare and post job notices and advertisements on various channels, including social media, job boards, and the company website.
  • Candidate Screening: Collect and screen resumes and cover letters, conducting initial interviews and assessments to determine candidate fit.
  • Employee Onboarding: Advise job applicants on employment requirements, terms and conditions of employment, and prepare job offers.
  • Talent Management: Review candidate inventories, contact potential applicants to arrange interviews, recruit graduates, co-ordinate selection and examination boards, notify applicants of results, and prepare job offers.
  • HR Support: Provide HR support to managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures, staff consultation and grievance procedures, negotiation of settlements, termination of employment processes, determination of eligibility to entitlements, and arrangement of staff training.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: College or CEGEP degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in recruitment, human resources, or a related field.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
Benefits and Compensation
  • Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year (dependent on experience).
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as access to employee assistance programs.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Language: English (fluency required).
