Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented engineering student to join our team as a co-op. The successful candidate will work closely with our maintenance superintendent, operations manager, and process engineer on various design and operation improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with maintenance superintendent, operations manager, and process engineer on various design and operation improvement projects
- Perform theoretical analysis on various production scenarios
- Provide recommendations for the creation and approval of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Research and provide recommendations on state-of-the-art extrusion and automation technology
- Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement teams
- Design and develop plant layouts, tooling drawings, and critical spare part drawings through reverse engineering
- Enter plant maintenance data into computerized maintenance management software (MP2)
Requirements
- 3rd-year engineering student (preferably mechanical or chemical)
