Sikh Community Leader

The Granthi is a spiritual and administrative leader at the Akali Singh Sikh Society. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Sikhism and be able to lead religious services, supervise staff, and administer rites of faith. They will also be responsible for providing spiritual and moral guidance to members of the community, as well as representing the society in humanitarian endeavors and social services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct religious services and lead the community in prayer and worship
- Supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure the smooth operation of the society
- Administer rites of faith, such as marriages and funerals, in accordance with Sikh tradition
- Provide spiritual and moral guidance to members of the community
- Represent the society in humanitarian endeavors, social services, and welfare activities
- Supervise, plan, and administer programs of religious education
- Provide consultation services to government and other organizations
- Pray and promote spirituality by delivering sermons and other talks
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience
- Efficient interpersonal skills

The Granthi will work in a religious organization setting, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
