Job Title: Granthi - Spiritual Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and spiritually gifted Granthi to join our team at the Akali Singh Sikh Society. As a Granthi, you will be responsible for leading our community in spiritual practices, providing guidance and support to our members, and overseeing the administration of our religious programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily and special religious services, including prayers, hymns, and readings.
  • Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to members of the community.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of office and volunteer staff.
  • Administer rites of faith, such as marriages and funerals.
  • Develop and implement programs of religious education for children and adults.
  • Represent the Akali Singh Sikh Society in humanitarian endeavors, social services, and welfare activities.
  • Collaborate with other community leaders to promote interfaith understanding and cooperation.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends.
Working Conditions:

The Granthi will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with community members, staff, and other stakeholders. The position requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to the values and mission of the Akali Singh Sikh Society.

Language:

The primary language of communication is English.

Work Hours:

30 hours per week.
