Deli Team Lead

Metro Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deli Department Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our deli operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our deli department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of product quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and direct deli staff, providing guidance and training to ensure they meet the highest standards of customer service and product quality.
- Inventory Management: Receive, price, stock, rotate, and merchandise products, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
- Ordering and Procurement: Order a full range of products, including meats, cheeses, and other deli items, and ensure timely delivery and receipt.
- Customer Service: Implement and ensure adherence to our customer service policy, providing exceptional service to our customers and resolving any issues promptly.
- Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as government regulations, concerning health and safety, sanitation, security, and other related matters.
- Administrative Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, including administrative tasks and special projects.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years' deli/supervisory experience, including excellent product knowledge and rotation, merchandising, ordering, and inventory control experience.
- Skills: Superior customer service, supervisory, and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical Demands: Capable of standing for a prolonged period of 4-8 hours, bending, twisting, turning, and reaching, and lifting up to 65 lbs.
- Availability: Available to work 40 hours per week.
