About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deli Team Leader to join our team at Giant Eagle. As a Deli Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of Deli Team Members and overseeing the daily operations of the Deli department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Deli Team Members to achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Monitor and control labor costs, inventory levels, and shrinkage.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our guests.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure effective promotion and display of products.
  • Analyze sales data and make recommendations to improve sales and profitability.
  • Oversee period inventory counts and monitor weekly fluctuations in inventory and shrink dollars.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of retail leadership experience, preferably in a food retail environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and profit goals.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
