About the Job

Headwater Equipment Sparwood is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Journeyman Off Road Technician to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Journeyman Off Road Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment, diesel and diesel electric mining machinery, and other heavy-duty off-road vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy construction equipment, diesel and diesel electric mining machinery, and other heavy-duty off-road vehicles
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to determine the extent of repair required
  • Adjust and repair or replace defective parts as needed
  • Instruct apprentices and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Interact with customers and operators in a professional and positive manner
Requirements
  • Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician - Off Road and/or On Road certification
  • 2-3 years of experience working on heavy-duty off-road equipment
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Overtime pay at time and a half after 8 hours per day

Location

Our main shop is located in Coalhurst, Alberta, with additional locations in Sparwood, Calgary, Edmonton, and Saskatoon. We are looking for candidates who are willing to travel to remote job sites and work in a variety of locations.
