We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Convention Services Manager to join our team at the Silver Hotel Group. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the in-house details for large group and convention bookings.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate all aspects of event planning, including coordination from the signing of a group contract forward, VIP needs, amenities, and group resumes.
- Work closely with the sales, catering, and banquet teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor group room blocks and pick up, and generate detailed resumes for the operating departments.
- Ability to work with outside vendors to ensure client satisfaction for all events/groups.
- Previous work experience as a hotel Convention Services Manager in a 3-5 star property is required.
- University or College diploma in Hospitality is a definite asset.
- Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office, are essential.
- Organized, results-orientated, proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proven experience motivating and inspiring a team to achieve strong performance results.
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment-maintaining composure and objectivity with guests and team members.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as required, including occasional Manager-On-Duty shifts.
