Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead our automated electronic and shock tube detonator assembly plants. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with labor, safety, environmental, and corporate policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve plant productivity, material productivity, and people productivity.
  • Manage costs, including daily costs, overtime, wastage, and efficiency, to ensure cost efficiency of every operation.
  • Ensure adherence to sound HSE principles, including regulatory requirements, and maintain and continually improve management systems based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and international safety standards.
  • Work closely with quality control personnel to review product consistency, monitor scrap rates, and determine trends and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor production expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, including timely communication requirements.
  • Control, track, and review performance against objectives, KPIs, production, and safety targets, and lead improvement actions to ensure optimal performance.
  • Effectively manage manpower requirements, production planning, stock management, instrumentation calibration, plant maintenance, plant modifications, and safety controls.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years related technical experience, with 3+ years in a leadership position or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Complete understanding of Safety, Quality, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Capacity/Resource Planning, Continuous Improvement, and other activities that go into the production process.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop operational plans.
  • Knowledge of business finance, linking financial outcomes with operations actions and strategy.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
