Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. Your expertise in test automation, quality engineering, and software testing will be instrumental in driving our quality assurance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test automation strategies to ensure efficient and effective testing of our software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements.
  • Design and implement test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of our software applications.
  • Identify and report defects to ensure timely resolution and minimize business impact.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies to ensure seamless integration with development teams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on automated testing in a variety of environments.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Robot Framework, SoapUI, or ReadyAPI.
  • Experience with development/scripting languages, such as Python, and 5+ years of experience with Python.
  • Experience with database technologies and testing, such as MongoDB, DB2, Oracle, SQL, IMS, Teradata, with strong SQL skills.
  • Experienced in Agile Methodology, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
