Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software applications. Your expertise in test automation, manual testing, and quality assurance will be instrumental in driving our quality standards forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test automation strategies to ensure efficient and effective testing of our software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements.
  • Design and execute manual testing plans to ensure thorough testing of our applications.
  • Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and other testing artifacts.
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies and Scrum ceremonies.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with a focus on automated testing.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Robot Framework, SoapUI, or ReadyAPI.
  • Experience with development/scripting languages, such as Python, and 5+ years of experience with Python.
  • Experience with database technologies and testing, such as MongoDB, DB2, Oracle, SQL, IMS, and Teradata.
  • Experienced in the Agile Methodology, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
