- Load and Unload Goods: You will be responsible for loading and unloading goods at various locations, ensuring that they are properly secured and handled.
- Vehicle Maintenance: You will be responsible for maintaining the condition of the vehicle, including inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
- Emergency Roadside Repairs: You will be able to perform emergency roadside repairs, including brake adjustments and other necessary maintenance.
- Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: You will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Documentation Knowledge: You will have knowledge of various documents, including accident or incident reports, bills of lading, driver logbooks, and inspection reports.
- Communication Systems Experience: You will have experience operating GPS and other navigation equipment.
- Transportation/Travel Experience: You will have experience with national, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul transportation.
- Security and Safety: You will have a valid passport and a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel for extended periods and overnight.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: You will be able to work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Personal Suitability: You will be organized, reliable, and able to work in a team environment.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
Working Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
Language: English
Work Term: Permanent
