Purchasing Team Leader Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Team Leader to join our team at Tolko Industries Ltd. in High Prairie, AB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement team to provide on-time procurement of goods and services to support major projects and ongoing operations.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure best value for the company.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate tracking of materials and operating supplies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop creative solutions.

Requirements:

  • APICS, SCMP, CSCP, CPIM or equivalent designation.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of safety protocols and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
