About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Director, Data Governance to join our team at Manulife. As a key member of our Data Office, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data governance strategies and practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance on data governance initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data governance initiatives, ensuring effective data management and risk mitigation.
  • Design and implement data quality and integrity programs, ensuring accurate and reliable data for business decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, data owners, and IT partners, to ensure effective data governance and management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements, ensuring Manulife remains compliant and competitive in the market.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading data governance initiatives and implementing data management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality, and data integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex data governance issues and develop effective solutions.
