About the Role

Interior Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization's strategic objectives and business drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Employee and Labour Relations Perspective: Provide expert advice and guidance on innovative and cost-effective business and workforce optimization strategies and plans for assigned client portfolios.
  • Change Agent: Act as a catalyst for change, driving business and workforce optimization initiatives that support organizational effectiveness and renewal.
  • Client Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with leadership and stakeholders, providing strategic HR support and guidance to drive business outcomes.
  • Workforce Planning and Recruitment: Collaborate with Finance, Workforce Planning, and other business units to develop and implement workforce planning, recruitment, and staffing strategies that support business objectives.
  • Labour Relations and Collective Agreement Administration: Interpret and advise on relevant legislation, including labour, workplace health and safety, human rights, and employment standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including leadership, union representatives, and other business units.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: An undergraduate degree in HR and/or Business, combined with a minimum of five years of recent experience in HR, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strategic thinking, change management, relationship building, coaching, facilitation, analytical and evaluative skills, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
