Activation Aide Job Description

At Waters Edge Community, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activation Aide to join our team. As an Activation Aide, you will play a critical role in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan activities, programs, and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Facilitate small and large group programs, including special events, to promote socialization, entertainment, and overall well-being.
  • Conduct resident assessments to identify needs and concerns, and develop personalized goals and interventions.
  • Document program participation, progress, and outcomes to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other therapy programs to provide a holistic approach to resident care.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or a related field.
  • Current Standard and/or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Previous experience in program planning, documentation, and evaluation.
  • Ability to pass a provincial police check and tuberculosis screening (as applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Competency in Point Click Care and MS Office.
