Senior Project Manager - Construction Development

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the management and execution of low to mid-rise developments for our dynamic and growing construction company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all phases of the construction project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to post-completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design alignment with project goals.
  • Manage the procurement of materials, trades, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, including junior project managers, coordinators, and site supervisors.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with municipal authorities, consultants, contractors, and other external partners.
  • Support the company's values of collaboration, transparency, and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of project management experience in low to mid-rise residential/commercial construction, with a strong preference for candidates with a developer/builder background.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects concurrently, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations specific to Vancouver.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and other relevant tools.
  • Solution-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle the challenges of fast-paced construction environments.
