Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team at City Welding Sudbury (2015) Limited. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating metal structures, working with heavy-duty metal-working machines, and ensuring high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, using welding or bolting techniques
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, such as CNC machines or presses
  • Construct patterns and templates to guide fabrication processes
  • Install fabricated components in final products, ensuring precise fit and finish
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, using proper safety procedures
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements and specifications
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods
