Job Title: Structural Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Structural Metal Fabricator to join our team at Nickel City Steel Limited. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting metal plates and sections to form structures, using a variety of welding techniques and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate assembly
  • Assemble and fit metal plates and sections to form structures, using MIG, TIG, and flux core arc welding techniques
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, such as brakes and presses
  • Construct patterns and templates to ensure precise fit and finish
  • Install fabricated components in final products, ensuring quality and safety standards
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, using proper lifting techniques
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in structural metal fabrication and welding
  • College diploma or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots and welding helmet
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
