Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Food Service Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of our food preparation team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for establishing effective work schedules, supervising staff, and ensuring that food and service meet our quality control standards. About This Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of physical activity, including standing for extended periods and walking. You will work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and maintain a fast-paced environment. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing staff in various areas of responsibility, including food preparation, customer service, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

​

  • Establish effective work schedules to meet business needs
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Establish work schedules
  • Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

​

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service establishment
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Able to stand for extended periods and walk
