Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in promoting, protecting, and preserving the health of populations. You will apply public health science and nursing theory to prevent injuries, chronic and communicable diseases, and address environmental issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply public health science and nursing theory to promote, protect, and preserve the health of populations.
  • Prevent injuries, chronic and communicable diseases, and address environmental issues.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in other programs, sectors, and organizations to improve the health of all people and reduce inequities among populations.
  • Provide services in communities, across communities, and across the region.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate Nursing degree.
  • At least two years of recent, relevant experience in public health, primary care, or population-level health promotion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a professional team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate groups.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications.
