About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team at HOME BY IDEAL CONSTRUCTION LTD. as a Heavy Equipment Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Planning: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, to perform excavation tasks.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Clean and lubricate equipment, refill equipment tanks, and perform minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Measurement and Documentation: Measure distance, volume, length, and weight, and complete onboard and other logs to track progress.
  • Communication and Safety: Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, prepare accident reports, and operate two-way radios and other communication equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Setting: Work in various locations, including construction sites, and be prepared to work in physically demanding environments.
  • Experience and Education: Possess 1 year to less than 2 years of experience and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Language and Work Schedule: Be fluent in English and work a standard 40 hours per week schedule.
