Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Thiara Construction and Logistics is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate and move earth, rock, and other materials on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes to excavate and move earth, rock, and other materials.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Measure distance, volume, length, and weight of materials to ensure accurate excavation and movement.
  • Complete onboard and other logs to track equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
  • Operate hydraulic pumping systems to power equipment and tools.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Work Setting:
  • Various locations.
