Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customs Compliance Expert to join our team at HR4You Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's adherence to international trade regulations and customs compliance.



About You


We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in customs compliance or a related field. A Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or CTCS certification is preferred. You should have strong knowledge of CBSA Regulations and the Canadian Customs, as well as experience in managing a team and providing leadership to ensure compliance with customs regulations.



Responsibilities



  • Oversee customs brokerage operations for the company.
  • Manage a team of customs specialists.
  • Develop and implement customs compliance strategies for the company and ensure adherence to all SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to customs and trade compliance.
  • Oversee the filing and processing of customs entries and ensure their accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and support to the customs team on customs compliance matters to meet broker's compliance standards as required by CBSA.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify potential areas of risk or non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategies for improving customs compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to customs regulations and communicate relevant information to impacted teams.
  • Manage relationships with customs authorities and external partners to ensure compliance with all customs requirements.
  • Train employees on customs compliance policies and procedures and monitor their adherence to them.
  • Prepare reports and updates for senior management on customs affairs.
  • Review profitability and growth of the department.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.


Compensation and Benefits


The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000 - $150,000, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
