Tunnel Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tunnel Superintendent to join our team at Aecon Group Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the tunnel crew, determining tasks, directing work, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Promote a Safety-First culture, leading safety meetings, inspections, and mentorship programs.
- Provide guidance to team members, coordinate work, and supervise subordinate foremen.
- Manage productivity, monitor work performance, and assist in solving project challenges.
- Contribute to construction planning, equipment resource allocation, and daily goal reassessment.
- Support an inclusive work environment, build a strong team, and maintain good housekeeping.
- Supervise tunnel logistics, optimize interface between shaft and tunnel crew, and oversee works related to supply pipes and ventilation ducts.
- Ensure quality standards are met, approve daily production records, and report on work progress.
- Secondary School or equivalent education.
- Practical training, classroom, or simulation experience.
- Working knowledge of English.
- Familiarity with OSHA and MOL's basic supervisory safety awareness training.
- 2-3 years' experience in tunneling with concrete segment lining, 6.0 m. diameter.
- 2-3 years' experience with Herrenknecht equipment.
- $53 per hour, with shift premium and overtime opportunities.
- 37.5 hours/week, with vacation and statutory holiday pay, health and welfare benefits, and pension.
- Primary work location at a construction site, with project-related travel required.
- Exposure to construction work site environment in all seasons.
- Relocation within Canada may be required, with relocation costs covered by the employer.
