Transforming Underground Infrastructure

COWI is seeking an experienced Associate Technical Director to lead our tunneling and underground infrastructure projects in North America.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement technical strategies for tunneling and underground infrastructure projects.
  • Lead project teams in the evaluation of tunnel alignments, geotechnical data, and structural analysis.
  • Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets for underground projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate the production of drawings and specifications for underground projects.
  • Perform site and field inspections and condition assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical leadership and guidance for underground projects.
  • Development of technical networks and partnerships.
  • Attracting and retaining key staff members.
  • Providing technical guidance and leadership in the development of technical solutions.
  • Promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or geotechnical engineering.
  • P.Eng. designation in Ontario or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • 15+ years of related experience in tunneling and underground infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of prior experience working as a Design Manager.
