COWI A/S is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Technical Director to join our team in North America. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving technical excellence and innovation in the delivery of underground projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams in the evaluation of tunnel alignments, geometry of stations & shafts, temporary support systems, geotechnical data, structural analysis, design of tunnels and tunnel liner systems, coffer dams, slurry walls, and cross passages.
  • Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets, as well as engineering reports, specifications, and other technical documents.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and manage the production of drawings and specifications for underground projects, while reviewing design options for both technical and financial impact.
  • Perform site and field inspections and condition assessments.
Requirements:
  • Degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a field related to underground construction/tunneling.
  • P.Licenses in US states an asset.
  • Experience in the delivery of Design-Build underground projects at all phases, including feasibility/conceptual studies to detailed design.
  • Extensive experience in the tunneling/underground industry, along with substantial technical management experience for small to large-scale tunnel and underground projects.
