Enhance Data Pipeline Efficiencies and Boost Business Analytics Capabilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Calgary. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data pipeline architecture using tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Boomi.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data pipeline architecture to enhance data availability and business analytics capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain data management solutions using SQL and other relevant technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards, including ISO27000, HIPAA, and PIPEDA.
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) team, Project Management (PM) team, and software developers to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Create a data lake infrastructure and consolidate data from multiple systems to enhance business analytics capabilities.
  • Utilize Python for data modeling and handling both relational database architecture and unstructured data.
  • Monitor and ensure data availability, feature delivery, and system uptime.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing data pipeline architecture.
  • Experience with data governance policies and standards, including ISO27001, HIPAA, and PIPEDA.
  • Experience in data modeling and handling both relational and unstructured data.
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional teams such as BI, PM, and software development teams.
  • Strong proficiency in data management solutions SQL.
  • Proficiency in data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Boomi.
  • Experience with data lake and data warehouse architecture.
  • Proficiency in Python and related data processing libraries.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
