About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Data Engineer Jobs. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures within the Snowflake Data Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Data Pipelines: Develop and implement complex data pipelines and ETL processes within Snowflake's cloud data platform to support real-time analytics and business intelligence.
  • Optimize Data Performance: Optimize data storage and data processing performance in Snowflake to ensure efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure that data solutions are aligned with business requirements and objectives.
  • Develop and Maintain Data Models: Develop and maintain data models, data marts, and data warehouses to support data analysis and reporting.
  • Implement Data Governance: Implement data governance and security best practices within Snowflake environments to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Provide Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance on Snowflake features and best practices to team members.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest Snowflake features and updates, as well as industry trends in cloud data platforms.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on Snowflake.
  • Skills: Proficiency in SQL, experience with scripting languages such as Python or Scala, and experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Apache Airflow.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques, knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their integration with Snowflake.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
