Job Summary

As a key member of our team at Shred-Tech, you will play a vital role in the design, development, and testing of our shredding and recycling systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our R&D team as an R&D Technician/Millwright.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test mechanical components and systems according to engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to build and refine prototypes for testing and evaluation.
  • Participate actively in product testing and validation activities.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to position machinery and parts.
  • Conduct experiments and tests following established protocols.
  • Record and document experimental data accurately and meticulously.
  • Analyze and interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to equipment, processes, or experiments.
  • Assist in the development and formulation of new products or improvements to existing ones.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to optimize product characteristics and performance.
  • Perform quality control tests and inspections to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Identify and address any deviations or issues in the production process.

Requirements
  • Completion or enrollment in an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright program recognized by the Ontario Colleges or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as precision measurement instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance regulations.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
