Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Business Development Manager to join our professional and motivated sales team. Reporting to the Vice-President of Sales, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring corporate accounts to achieve annual sales targets and maximize business opportunities. This role involves prospecting for new customers and contributing to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet sales targets for assigned accounts
  • Present products, promotions, and strategic plans to meet sales objectives
  • Develop annual sales projections and marketing budgets
  • Monitor account performance using available tools (pre-book, sales tracking table, pivot tables)
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Collaborate with various departments to meet deadlines (procurement and shipping)
  • Prepare and present business reviews (sales and performance analysis by product category, set objectives, and develop new programs)
  • Manage planograms, packs, and programs in place
  • Complete product creation files and buying show documentation for trade shows
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate new deals
  • Stay informed about market trends and changes in the competitive environment
Requirements
  • Experience as a Business Development Manager with corporate accounts is essential
  • Fluency in both English and French (oral and written) is required
  • DEC or equivalent; relevant professional experience in corporate sales for the distribution of consumer products for the retail market will also be considered
  • Experience in negotiating with head offices at the procurement level is a significant asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is essential
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of sales and marketing business processes
  • Results-oriented and goal-driven; passionate about developing relationships, business development, and closing sales
