About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Sushi Wood. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and service in our food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food preparation staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and develop our staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring that we always have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Hire and manage our food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control standards, ensuring that our food and service meet the highest expectations.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, providing solutions and alternatives when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth and improvement.
  • Establish and manage work schedules, ensuring that our team is well-staffed and prepared to meet customer demand.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
