The New Democratic Party is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Regional Organizer. As a key member of our electoral district team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of strong, active Electoral District Associations (EDAs) across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electoral District Association Development: Assist in the growth and success of EDAs by providing guidance, training, and support to local volunteers and party activists.
  • Candidate Recruitment and Training: Work closely with candidates and campaign teams to ensure they have the necessary resources and expertise to run effective campaigns.
  • Activist Engagement: Identify and train local activists to become more involved in their communities and contribute to the party's electoral efforts.
  • Fundraising Support: Assist EDAs in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support their activities and campaigns.
  • Election Preparedness: Work with EDAs to ensure they are well-prepared for election day, including developing comprehensive campaign plans and strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Campaign Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working on political campaigns, preferably in a field or organizing role.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong leadership skills and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers, candidates, and party staff.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Salary and Benefits

$60,000 per year, plus 3 weeks vacation and a comprehensive health benefits program.

Location and Start Date

Ottawa-based, with the opportunity to work remotely as needed. Immediate start date, with a contract duration of two weeks following the next general federal election.
