We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Analyst to join our team at Mitel Networks. With a strong focus on compliance, planning, and reporting, this role will play a crucial part in optimizing the company's tax structures.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing corporate income tax returns, elections, and remittances across multiple jurisdictions in Canada. Additionally, they will coordinate the preparation of corporate tax returns in foreign jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of tax-related accounting and external financial reporting.

  • Prepare current and deferred tax provision calculations for financial reporting.
  • Assist in tax research and planning assignments incorporating tax laws of multiple North American jurisdictions.
  • Interface with tax authorities, including assisting in the coordination of tax audits and preparation of responses.

As a key member of the finance team, the Tax Analyst will work closely with senior management and external parties to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax-related tasks. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma.
  • Enrollment in the CICA In-Depth tax program or Master of Tax program is considered an asset.
  • Experience in the preparation and completion of complex Canadian tax returns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of computerized accounting systems, SAP, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, RRSP matching, paid time off, and employee assistance programs. The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
