{"h1": "Tow Truck Driver Job Description"} Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our team at Professional Towing Services Inc. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting vehicles to designated locations, addressing customer complaints, and performing routine maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities
  • Transport vehicles to designated locations, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the tow truck
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs, to ensure the tow truck is in good working condition
  • Coach colleagues on new methods and work techniques to improve overall performance
  • Arrange travel and related itineraries for customers and colleagues
  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks, and oversee the condition of the vehicle
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the tow truck is in good working condition
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and assist customers in need
  • Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including inspections and repairs
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient communication
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to all safety protocols
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
  • Ability to operate GPS and other navigation equipment
  • Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods and work overnight
