Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure endpoint environment and providing Level 2 desktop, mobile, and peripheral equipment support for assigned technologies within the enterprise architecture.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a secure endpoint environment, ensuring that all devices and systems are up-to-date and compliant with security policies.
- Provide Level 2 desktop, mobile, and peripheral equipment support, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions and to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge bases, and other resources to support technical support activities.
- 3 years of experience working in enterprise information technology providing desktop support with a focus on one or more of the following: desktop and mobile hardware, equipment support of peripheral devices, endpoint management utilities, practices, and client operating system features, operating hardware tools, components, field-replacable units, and peripheral accessories.
- A post-secondary diploma in an information technology related program from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Demonstrated staff leadership capabilities, with experience in leading teams or mentoring junior staff members.
- Familiarity with the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework and its application in a healthcare setting.
